In Detachment, the new photographic series by Nicolas Dhervillers, nature is frosted – almost white. The forests look like jungles. There are lost mountains, peaks and ravines, a metal bridge between two worlds, the spectacle of a waterfall. There are steaming waters and skies, which in some places are pierced by a distant, almost Elysian sun, descending and illuminating, mirage or truth, tiny and anachronistic characters.
