Cerbera Gallery and The Nevica Project are traveling to Minneapolis, March 26-30, for NCECA’s 53rd annual conference, bringing over 50 artists’ work to exhibit in their pop-up, “Ceramic Salon”, located at Covet Consign and Design.

Artist’s in “Ceramic Salon” will have the unique opportunity of showcasing their work in a city with a rich history in the ceramic arts. Since the 1960s, the Twin Cities region has played a pivotal role in shaping a renaissance in studio pottery and craft as cultural forces. Adaptation of Mingei-inspired ideals within the American heartland drove a vision of artfulness in daily life.

The National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) is a dynamic, 501(c)3 organization that engages and sustains a community for ceramic art, teaching and learning. NCECA expands knowledge within the field of ceramics, by working to develop the next generation of ceramic artists and enthusiasts through programing that impacts professional artists, K-12 schools, community centers, universities, museums, galleries, businesses, organizations, collectors and enthusiasts of ceramic art.

NCECA’s annual conference features dozens of presenters, demonstrations, networking opportunities and exhibitions over three and a half days each spring, each year in a different US city.

NCECA has been a unique artists-run organization since its inception. Dedicated individuals have made NCECA what it is today—a vital, significant, fiscally-solvent organization that is a model of success to other arts organizations.

For all press inquires about  NCECA 2019, contact Philipp Eirich or Kennedy Burgess at info@cerberagallery.com. We encourage local museums and art groups interested in private tours at our permanent, KCMO location to book dates in advance since our current exhibition will only be on view until the end of March.
